Overview
Coast and Vale Learning Trust comprises five schools for ages 4 to 16, Scarborough University Technical College (Scarborough UTC) for ages 13 to 18, and the Scarborough Teaching Alliance – Coast and Vale Teacher Training, all based in North Yorkshire. The Trust shares a common objective: to improve educational outcomes in the Coast and Vale area and across the wider region.
The Challenge
In September 2024, Coast and Vale Learning Trust approached Forefront to support their Open Evenings campaign, which was scheduled to begin in late September starting with the Scarborough University Technical College (Scarborough UTC), followed by campaigns for Filey School and Lady Lumley’s School in early October. Having no prior experience with AdVans or DigiVans, the Trust was referred to Forefront by Delta Academies Trust, following the success of Delta’s AdVan campaigns.
The Solution
Forefront collaborated with the individual trust’s schools and the Scarborough UTC to plan a strategic DigiVan route tailored to the individual requirements for each. This plan targeted high-footfall locations such as key supermarkets, High Streets and feeder schools within the schools catchment areas. The Delta marketing team assisted with creating engaging video and static content, which was displayed across all three sides of our DigiVans, ensuring maximum visibility and impact.
Results and Expansion
The DigiVan hire over the five-day campaign was a resounding success reaching an audience of over 80,000 people. The DigiVan campaigns covered a wide geographic area, including Pickering, Kirkbymoorside, Thornton-Le-Dale, Hunmanby, Cayton Bay, East Ayton and South Scarborough.
Future Initiatives
The success of these campaigns has led to an ongoing partnership with the trust, with Forefront now supporting their 6th Form Open Evenings in November through targeted DigiVan campaigns. The goal moving forward is to deepen this partnership and increase the number of schools utilising DigiVans for their 2025 student intake.
